A popular village pub in Egerton, Bolton, Greater Manchester, has announced it will be re-opening its doors on June 21 under an exciting new management team.
Headed up by General Manager Johnathon Peek, who has worked with top chef Marco Pierre White, The Cross Guns will offer a selection of modern and traditional English dishes cooked to an exceptional standard.
With pub favourites at the forefront, the menu has been re-designed to tempt and delight all tastebuds whether an intimate meal for two or a family get-together. The pub will also include a function facility for 70 guests as well as a beautiful Art Deco cocktail lounge.
Jon brings with him over 15 years top flight experience in hospitality, most recently as General Manager at Marco Pierre Whiteโs luxury hotel the Rudloe Arms. As well as running the hotel Jon was involved in many diverse projects with Marco including hosting โAโ list events and co-producing shows such as BBCโs Maestro, Marcoโs first television programme in over ten years.

Prior to working at Rudloe, Jon managed the popular Marco Pierre White Steakhouse in the Cube in Birmingham. His close relationship with Marco has had a major influence on both his approach to food and cooking and also his business ethos:
โHaving worked closely with Marco for the last five years, I have learnt from the very best and Iโm very excited to bring my knowledge and experience to manage my own venue. Marco is a visionary chef and operator with a passion for driving excellence within his venues. I hope to bring that same passion to my operation of the โGunsโ.โ
โEmerging out of the Covid Crisis will be operationally challenging in hospitality, but I am excited to get started and re-welcome guests with health and safety at the forefront.โ
