Looming bankruptcy, divorce and overweight, how Stacey Sargison turned her life around in lockdown

Stacey Sargison was on the brink of bankruptcy, in the process of signing divorce papers and overweight at the beginning of lockdown one.

Fast forward to now and things really couldn’t be more different.

Super saleswoman Stacey went out to Sydney to meet a client and after a successful first date with an Australian fireman whilst waiting for her return flight, ended up staying on and finding love.

She’s cleared her debt and is now in the best shape of her life having dropped a stone with a ketogenic (low carb, high fat) diet and the help of a personal trainer.

Plus, she has her own show coming out in 2021, too.

So how did this amazing turnaround come about? Stacey, 37, from Northamptonshire, decided to jump onto Facebook Live to help other women at the beginning of lockdown in March.

Her aim was to turn things around for those needing support and at the same time she turned her own life around.

Stacey is not your average social media star. Tipped to be the next big name in the online business space, she’s been viewed by millions and has worked with the likes of Patsy Palmer to Tom Cruise, as well as hosting sell-out events at The Ritz in London.

And having recently gone from divorcee on the brink of bankruptcy, to living between London and Sydney whilst running a six-figure business helping entrepreneurs thrive in a pandemic, she knows oh too well how to turn lemons into lemonade!

Stacey’s also in talks about her own TV show due to be released in 2021 and has a book on the way too.

Inspired by her trademark strapline “You can achieve anything you put your mind to!” Stacey has recently helped beauticians move their business online through to single mothers who want to follow their dreams and get off benefits during lockdown.

She teaches everything she’s learnt from being a sales analyst with Universal Pictures, through to the lessons learned in turning a breast cancer scare into a catalyst for a global life coaching business.

Stacey’s latest course ‘Selling Successfully’ has enrolled everyone from maternity nurses to letting agents using her ‘selling with heart’ techniques.

These techniques were at the heart of how her own business drew in over a quarter of a million in sales through simply sharing sales tips and techniques through Facebook Live.

She says: “A few years ago I noticed that celebrities were posting live videos on their Facebook pages and after trying to start my own YouTube channel with no success, I decided to research how I could go live. Within a matter of weeks I discovered the live stream button and thankfully saw the advantage of not having to wait ages for videos to upload I began to do live streams and excitedly connected with live viewers.

“I saw it as a real-time genuine human connection and chose to do live streams most days sharing inspirational videos encouraging others to go for their dreams. Within months I had various videos go viral and have 230,000 views. I then began to sell my services via the live platform, rather than Facebook ads.”

Stacey shares her 15+ years of business experience which includes sharing the red carpet with the likes of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, to studying Marketing at the Marist College in New York, to working with multi-million sales figures whilst working with major entertainment brands from BAFTA to Paramount Pictures.

If I can show up and help people when I was recently going through a divorce and didn’t even want to wash my hair – anyone can!

She adds: “If I can show up and help people when I was recently going through a divorce and didn’t even want to wash my hair – anyone can! I’ve become a success through sheer determination, courage and consistency.

“I help people sell their products or services via genuine human connection via live streams. I help my clients create highly engaging content which turn viewers into buyers in a non-icky way.

“Many people, women in particular, tell themselves that they can’t do it, particularly in lockdown. I would kindly remind them that there have been things in the past which they thought they couldn’t overcome but they did, so let’s not forget what amazing woman we are. Whilst this time might feel utterly overwhelming, the phone they have in their hand and the internet they are reading this from has the ability to change their life for the better. We all have something within us right now: knowledge and experience which can be shared (and sold) via online. Many women have turned their lives around in unexpected ways and I’d recommend anyone to binge watch those inspirational videos which will plant a seed of possibility. And that is when things can get really exciting.”
