1. What has been your Best Life Project to date?
My best project was launching and setting up The Silver Stable in 2020.
2. The unknown … what challenges did you have to overcome?
Launching a business in the middle of a pandemic has certainly had its challenges, especially suppliers not being able to source certain materials when needed due to delays.
3. In hindsight…..what would you do differently?
To be honest, nothing. I think you have to embrace the challenges and learn from them to make you a better person and know what to do in the future.
4. Next steps?
Launching the new season collection.
5. What lifestyle changes has lockdown made you consider?
That there is only a certain amount of planning you can do. You don’t know what may happen in the future, so embrace and do things and go places while you can. Don’t put off things as you may regret it.
6. Kissing frogs …. is there an unexpected person who has helped you and, if so, how did they do it?
My horses Hilda and Dancer! Horses are part of my life and integral to my jewellery design inspiration. I’m so lucky to have them at home with me and they help me de-stress! Whether it’s mucking out their stables each day, going for a long hack or simply spending time with them, I find it really therapeutic and relaxing.
7. My Inspiration ….who or what inspires you?
Female business entrepreneurs, especially those who have built their business from nothing. I love listening to podcasts and reading articles on female business entrepreneurs, they motivate me and give me the drive to succeed. Jade Holland Cooper, Michelle Mone, Karen Brady to name a few.
8. How do you relax, or do you struggle to relax?
I do find it hard to relax as my brain is always so busy! However, spending time with my horses, cooking with my husband, indulging in a relaxing evening on the sofa with scented candles, a magazine, and coffee are some of my favourites. A spa day with friends has to be my absolute favourite way to relax, although it seems forever since my last spa day!
9. Guilty secret pleasure?
Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. There, it’s out there now!
10. Words of wisdom
If you want to do something or start your own business, just go for it. It will never seem like the right time, but take the plunge and work through problems and challenges as they arise. Of course, have a plan, but be prepared to adapt and change.
