A range of special meeting pods will enable families to visit their loved ones in care homes across the UK this Christmas.
The pods have been developed by online print company, Where The Trade Buys, to create a safe environment for families to provide much-needed contact with their relatives during the festive season.
As the Government rolls out more widespread testing in care homes across the UK, the specialised pods will provide a safe and secure way for families to reconnect, while they can also be used by businesses across all sectors to restore face-to-face meetings with clients.
Gary Peeling, chief executive officer at Where The Trade Buys, said: “The care home industry has been hit particularly hard by COVID-19 and part of that has been residents not being able to see their loved ones,” he said.
“Safety always has to come first, but we hope with this latest addition to our health and safety range that we’ve come up with a solution which will allow families to get that little bit closer.”
Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, Where The Trade Buys has delivered a range of health and safety solutions, including PPE equipment and shielding screens for all sectors, from office buildings to schools and shops. The meeting pods, which cost £107 (excluding VAT) are made from Correx board and with a clear Perspex screen, which will have space provided for bespoke safety messages to be printed on.
